On the festive eve of 30th Dec, two European titans clashed against each other for a friendly match in the Dubai Football Challenege. Stephan El Shaarawy was the star of the night as he smashed two goals in the opponent’s net, helping AC Milan clinch a 4-2 victory against Real Madrid. This defeat was a sad end to Real Madrid’s coruscating 23-game winning streak.

Jeremy Menez scored the opening goal for AC Milan, thanks to an erroneous back pass from Madrid’s defender, Nacho. And soon, Shaarawy scored a spectacular goal to double this lead. But just after four minutes, Cristiano Ronaldo found the net for Real Madrid, helping his team bounce back in the game.

In the second half, Madrid made a raft of changes, bringing Iker Casillas in the net to replace Keylor Navas. However, even Casillas could not stop El Shaarawy form scoring as he netted another goal within first three minutes of the second half. In the 74th minute, Giampaolo Pazzini also scored for Milan, extending the lead even further.

In the mean time, Madrid waged out a number of prodigious attacks, but Milan’s defence proved too solid to penetrate. Finally, in the 84th minute, the Frenchman Karim Benzema scored in a penalty, but it was too little and too late for the European Champions to achieve redemption.
