Borussia Dortmund officially confirmed the signing of Kevin Kampl from Red Bull Salzburg.

An agreement was revealed today and will go underway at the start of a new year. Kampl, who plays wide as an attacking midfielder or a winger, was a part of the Austrian powerhouse for two and a half years, also becoming a part of the Slovenian national team in the meantime.

“Kevin Kampl is a versatile attacking-midfielder, who we have been observing for some time. His style of play fits in with our own,” said the Borussia sporting director Michael Zorc for the club’s official website.

At the last transfer window Kampl was associated with a possible move to Liverpool, but he’ll eventually finish in Dortmund, maybe as a replacement for Marco Reus, who could become a new Real Madrid player, since the deal appears getting closer with every new day.
